World Sleep Day: Exploring Sleep Deprivation Symptoms (Tired Scribble from The Scribbles Crew)
Exploring Sleep Deprivation symptoms with children with Tired Scribble. This resource can be used to explore with children what happens to our body and mind when we do not get enough sleep.
This resource has been designed to promote the importance of having routines to ensure good quality sleep, healthy sleep hygiene habits and tools for supporting children with their sleep.
Suitable for KS1, and KS2.

- To promote healthy sleep hygiene routines and daily practice.
- To understand the benefits of sleep and how it affects our mood not just our physical health.
- To support a good bedtime routine and personal sleep hygiene.

- KS1: H17. about things that help people feel good (e.g. playing outside, doing things they enjoy, spending time with family, getting enough sleep).
- KS2: H16. about strategies and behaviours that support mental health — including how good quality sleep, physical exercise/time outdoors, being involved in community groups, doing things for others, clubs, and activities, hobbies and spending time with family and friends can support mental health and wellbeing.
