How I Sparkle: Promoting Self-Esteem
”How I Sparkle: Promoting Self-Esteem’ worksheet has been designed to support children and young people with identifying what makes them, them. It is a tool for building self-esteem as well as a way of exploring the positives and celebrating the small things. The sparklers invite children to record what they are proud of, what they have improved and what makes them unique.
How could this resource be used?
- To support teaching emotional literacy and self-esteem.
- To support a child 1:1.
- To support a wider class ethos of talking and normalising mental health and wellbeing.

- KS1: H19 – to recognise when they need help with feelings; that it is important to ask for help with feelings; and how to ask for it.

H21. to recognise warning signs about mental health and wellbeing and how to seek support for themselves and others
