Decorate an Egg: Mindful Arts and Crafts Activity
‘Decorate an Egg’ is a calming activity that promotes mindfulness through arts and crafts. Children are invited to decorate the Easter Eggs using paints, colouring pencils, pens or any materials available to them.
Decorate the egg below. Listen to some calming music as you decorate. You could use colouring pencils, finger paints, play-dough, flowers, sprinkles or other materials available to you. Take your time and notice how your decorations come together to create a beautiful egg. Trace around the outside of the egg using your finger to take deep breaths in slowly through your nose before breathing out slowly through your mouth.
Suitable for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
