FREE: King Charles III Coronation Giving Advice Postcard for Coping with BIG Feelings

The Coronation for King Charles III is happening on Saturday 6th May 2023. This will be one of the biggest moments in The King’s life. At the Coronation, the crown will be placed on The King’s head for the first time. It’s a celebration for our new King! The King will be feeling lots of BIG feelings about this historical event. Can you think of some BIG feelings that he might feel?
When we see people experiencing BIG feelings. It can be sometimes helpful to give them friendly advice to help them to feel better.
On your postcard, can you write down some advice for The King to help him to feel better about his big day, the Coronation? Start your postcard with ‘Sir’, ‘His Majesty’ or ‘Dear King Charles II’. You may want to send your postcard to The King. Cut out your postcard and decorate the front by drawing a picture. Pop it in an envelope with your name and address inside. Add a real stamp and post your postcard to the address on the postcard. The King is very busy but he sometimes replies to his letters.
How could this resource be used?
- To support with being able to offer other people helpful advice.
- To understand that different individuals experience situations differently and have different coping mechanisms.

- KS2: H21 – to recognise warning signs about mental health and wellbeing and how to seek support for themselves and others.
