'The Listening Game': Icebreaker for Promoting Active Listening (Mini Lesson)
‘Icebreaker: The Listening Game’ is a game that promotes building active listening, building a sense of community and friendship amongst groups of children.
This Mini Lesson has been designed for you to pick up and go with minimal resources and time needed to complete the activity. The information sheet also includes step-by-step instructions on how to carry out the activity.
How could this resource be used?
- To support children to build a relationship and positive bond with their new class teacher and each other.
- To encourage children to feel part of a new classroom climate and community.
- To build on the ‘active listening’ skill.
