About Exciting Teacher
Exciting Teacher started in a dorm room in Cambridge in 2018. Negotiating teacher training was tricky but by building a community of like-minded people, Channon was able to grow her confidence and teaching expertise surrounded by other teachers who shared the same passion. Channon has since gone on to work for the NHS in Children’s Mental Health as an Education Mental Health Practitioner delivering Low-Intensity CBT interventions!
Channon's story
Channon is a qualified Primary School Teacher. She studied Social Anthropology at LSE before transferring to a PGCE in General Primary at Cambridge University in 2018. In 2021, she obtained her Masters in Education.
As a dyslexic, Channon has found creating resources the most exciting yet time-consuming aspect of working in Education. She is driven by wanting to improve mental health and wellbeing. Channon has put together this resource base to support teachers in exploring emotional literacy amongst children and young people.
Channon now works for the NHS in Children’s Mental Health as an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP). She works full-time delivering Low-Intensity CBT interventions to young people and their families. This means that Exciting Teacher resources are trusted by Professionals all across the world!
